1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, creating an account, or utilizing the ShelfOne POS platform (operated by ShelfOne Technologies Pvt. Ltd.), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you are registering a shop account on behalf of a retail business or organization, you represent that you have legal authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. Account Registration & Responsibilities
To use ShelfOne software and POS features, you must register a merchant account:
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete shop details (owner name, business address, contact mobile, and GSTIN).
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and 6-Digit Shop Code.
- You must immediately notify ShelfOne support if you suspect unauthorized access or security breaches on your account.
3. SaaS Platform & Free Tier Agreement
ShelfOne provides cloud-based Point-of-Sale (POS), inventory management, and online storefront hosting services:
- Free Tier Access: Core POS billing, barcode scanning, SKU inventory, and customer ledgers are provided free for lifetime usage without mandatory subscription fees.
- Uptime Commitment: We endeavor to maintain 99.9% platform availability across Cloudflare Workers and NeonDB serverless infrastructure.
- Software Updates: We continuously deploy features, performance upgrades, and bug fixes without requiring manual client installation.
4. Merchant GST & Tax Responsibilities
ShelfOne generates invoices and calculates GST tax breakdowns (CGST, SGST, IGST) based on product rates entered by the merchant:
- Merchants are strictly responsible for verifying their tax rates, HSN codes, and compliance with the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).
- ShelfOne is a software service provider and does not act as a tax filing agency or guarantor for government tax submissions.
5. Prohibited Activities & Account Termination
Merchants are strictly prohibited from engaging in the following actions on ShelfOne:
- Selling illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited goods via ShelfOne online store links.
- Attempting to bypass API rate limits, breach authentication, or exploit backend workers.
- Engaging in fraudulent billing or unauthorized usage of customer contact records.
ShelfOne SuperAdmin reserves the right to suspend, ban, or purge shop workspaces violating these guidelines.
6. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, ShelfOne Technologies Pvt. Ltd. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from store operation disruptions, internet outages, or third-party hardware failures.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
